Mission: La Petite Chef, a group of young entrepreneurs, strives to promote healthy eating habits, encourage positive family values, and inspire a love of cooking from a young age.

Management Team

JILLIAN – President

In her third year of Junior Achievement and second year as an

Ambassador to the program, Jillian has a wide variety of Company Program

experience. She received the VP Production of the Year award last year, and was a member of the executive team that received the David O’Brien Leadership Award. Jillian was also a member of the North American Company of the Year. Beyond her Company Program experience Jillian is an organized, and dedicated hard worker. She volunteers with LINKages and is a part of her school band and swim team. Her leadership and teamwork skills along with her knowledge of her role, will allow her to effectively lead the team in a successful venture, while ensuring that every member of the team is valued, and learns from this experience.

 

DEBBIE – Vice President of Information Technology

As a Junior Achievement Ambassador, Debbie is an experienced company program member with proven leadership capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and an unwavering dedication. With experience in web design and several of Adobe’s programs, she is a perfect fit for the Vice President of Information Technology position. Being a student at a flexible, self-directed learning school has further enhanced her time-management and planning skills, while allowing her to complete her position’s duties regardless of academic pressures.

 

ANNA– Vice President of Marketing and Sales

As a returning Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Anna hopes to bring her

past two years of experience, as well as passion and motivation, to the role. She is devoted to striving for excellence in everything she does and strongly

embraces challenges and competition, as evident in her being a full IB student, a competitive dancer and the founder and president of several initiatives and organizations. Her love for children and her involvement with the Children’s Cottage Society has helped her understand the wishes and needs of families. Anna hopes to utilize her diverse background of management, organization and persuasion skills to communicate her desire to improve the development of children and to help her company succeed.

 

ALI– Vice President of Human Resources

As someone who brings significant leadership experience, ingenuity and

creativity; Ali has the experiences that make him a great Vice President of Human Resources. This is his third year as part of Junior Achievement in

Company Program and his second year as a JASA Company

Ambassador. In his first year at EDGE he was the Vice President of

Human Resources while last year he received the prestigious Spirit Award for his company. In addition to being an active participant of Junior Achievement, he also represents his school at various speech and debate tournaments around the city. Moreover, Ali also volunteers regularly in his community as part of the Reading Mentorship Program and at the TELUS World of Science as a public programs volunteer. Ali is committed to this company’s success and is a valuable asset to the La Petite Chef executive team.

 

SHAMIL– Vice President of Production

This is Shamil’s first year in the Junior Achievement Program. He is responsible, organized and dedicated to everything he does. Outside of the Junior Achievement program, Shamil’s passion for soccer has allowed him to attend tournaments throughout North America . Helping others in need is a value that Shamil believes in and he demonstrates this through his volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society, The Canadian Diabetes Society, as well as working with ESL students through The Calgary Public Library. Shamil is also involved in Debate as well as Trinity Public Speaking. Shamil’s experiences will help him be a valued member of this company and fulfill his role to the best of his ability.

 

FAIZA – Vice President of Finance

A Junior Achievement Ambassador, Faiza has high academic standards and hopes to go into Business at the Richard Ivey School of Business in the fall of 2010. Faiza loves math and excels in it, which is why she chose Finance as her primary focus this year. Last year, Faiza was the VP of HR with Smile, who took home the Calgary, Canadian, and North American Company of the Year awards. Faiza’s many interests have allowed her to strengthen and enforce her teambuilding skills. Her organizational skills, knowledge and enthusiasm will make her a strong addition to the La Petite Chef executive team.
